Disappearing

a triptych meditation on disappearence

Disappearing
as if the world’s all just you —
nothing else shining

Disappearing
like in the ocean a drop —
Lost in the vast blue

Disappearing —
you are sea, sky, and mountain,
melting in them all

Last haiku inspired by this beautiful Chinese poem:

“The birds have vanished into the sky
and now the last cloud drains away.
We sit together, the mountain and me,
until only the mountain remains.”

— Lǐ Bái (Li Bo), Chinese poet
