Worlds of Their Own

Winged termites seeking the divine lights.
Frogs feasting on foolish flies.
A snake, sneaking in the shadows, for a frog meal.

And those philosophical stars,
Finding naught of much significance,
Continue gazing the universe.

Missing

A haiku

I found you at last
Unbeknownst what I had lost
A poem gone missing

Not a haiku

Didn’t know what I was searching
till I found you again
a poem gone missing

Passion, Time

Us in each other’s arms
Wild passion burning
Molten past and future draining into oblivion
The now, stretched to the horizon
Longing to be eternity

5 to 7

Grinning, chuckling
Cheek bones sweetly aching
We watched ‘‘5 to 7’’ from 4 to 6
